The chance of getting some free skins in Fortnite is limited. Here are the free (and paid) options. Read more

1. Promotional Offers

If you’re looking for a way to get Fortnite free skins, you have a few options. You can participate in special in-game events, look for special offers on websites or social media, sign up for a Fortnite membership, or simply play the game and level up.

One of the most common ways to get Fortnite free skins is to participate in promotional offers.

Companies often team up with game developers to offer free skins to those who sign up for their products or services. This could include signing up for an online subscription or even downloading an app.

2. Complete in-game challenges

Another way to get Fortnite free skins is to participate in special in-game events, such as special tournaments or challenges.

These events usually require you to complete a certain task to get a free skin. You can find out what these events are by checking the Fortnite Events page.

Fortnite Membership (not free)

If you’re looking for something more permanent, you can also get free skins by signing up for a Fortnite membership. This membership will give you access to exclusive skins and other rewards.

To get started, you’ll need to sign up for a Fortnite account and then link it to your email address. Once you’ve done this, you can start earning points by completing daily challenges and playing in weekly tournaments. Points can then be redeemed for various rewards, including free skins.

Battle Pass (not free)

The Battle Pass is Fortnite’s progression system that has two pathways, a free one and a paid one. You progress through your Battle Pass by playing the game to earn XP. Each level you acquire rewards you with an item. As you might expect, the free pathway is quite stingy but it does reward you with free V-Bucks.

You can save up these free V-Bucks to purchase a skin of your choice. However, the smarter choice is to use those V-Bucks to pick up the paid Battle Pass. Within its 65+ levels, the latest Chapter of Fortnite contains 7 free skins and 1500 V-Bucks total among other goodies. This is one of the most surefire ways to get free skins in Fortnite on PS4 and beyond.

PlayStation Plus Skins (not free)

If you’re both a Fortnite player and a Playstation Plus subscriber, you have access to an exclusive free skin.

This skin can only be unlocked on PS4/5 via the PS Plus subscription but can later be used on other platforms thanks to Fortnite’s cross-save system.

PlayStation Plus members also get regular discounts on V-Bucks as well as bundle packs that contain cosmetics and V-Bucks at low prices.

Twitch Prime Skins (not free)

The platform rewards a regular stream of free content for a variety of games, including Fortnite.

How do I claim free Fortnite skin on Amazon Prime?

To access the exclusive Fortnite loot, you need to first be a Twitch Prime subscriber, which is free if you’re already an Amazon Prime member (not free). Follow the link to sync your Epic Games account with your Twitch Prime account, and then select “Click Here For Your Loot” to send the loot to your device of choice.

This pack includes 4 distinct items, all of which are exclusively available to Twitch Prime members:

  • Battle Royale Trailblazer Outfit: On the forefront of victory.
  • Battle Royale True North Back Bling: Find your way.
  • Battle Royale Tenderizer Pickaxe: Leave a good first impression.
  • Battle Royale Freestylin’ Emote: Tear up the dance floor.

As you’ll probably realize, the selection of outright free skins in Fortnite is quite thin.

The lion’s share of the stuff that allows you to personalize your avatar and express yourself is locked behind this paywall of monetization, which is fine considering that they go towards the game’s development and server maintenance.
